Then how about one of my favorites, rodeo champ Ben Johnson (The Wild Bunch/The Last Picture Show/Dillinger), and singing cowboy Ken Curtis (The Searchers/The Horse Soldiers/The Alamo) who was most famous for playing the irascible Deputy Festus for many years on Gunsmoke. Whether scruffy- left pair (Ben then Ken)- or clean-shaven- right pair (Ben then Ken)- they have me fooled. Adding to the confusion is the fact that they both show up in plenty of John Ford and John Wayne flicks. I just figured it was Ben Johnson all the time but much to my chagrin there's this other fellow. Life is just chockful of surprises isn't it now?
