69. Movies/Movies (Ben Johnson/Ken Curtis)
Then how about one of my favorites, rodeo champ Ben Johnson (The Wild Bunch/The Last Picture Show/Dillinger), and singing cowboy Ken Curtis (The Searchers/The Horse Soldiers/The Alamo) who was most famous for playing the irascible Deputy Festus for many years on Gunsmoke. Whether scruffy- left pair (Ben then Ken)- or clean-shaven- right pair (Ben then Ken)- they have me fooled. Adding to the confusion is the fact that they both show up in plenty of John Ford and John Wayne flicks. I just figured it was Ben Johnson all the time but much to my chagrin when the credits rolled sometimes it did turn out to be Ken Curtis. Life is just chockful of surprises isn't it now?
