53. News/Comedy (Tim Russert/Dave Thomas)
Venerated newsman, the late Tim Russert, left us quite suddenly in June '08. Every time I saw him monitoring a presidential debate or hosting Meet The Press I kept wondering who he reminded me of. It was killing me but then it finally I had an epiphany and realized it was comedian Dave Thomas of SCTV fame (no, not the late founder of Wendy's who appeared in all those TV ads!). And who can forget when Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas played the McKenzie Brothers (Bob and Doug) in their silly Great White North routine. Somehow they managed to stretch that gag into a full-length feature comedy movie Strange Brew (1983). That's going overboard I think but at least we were spared a sequel.
