Norman Fell who played one of  America's favorite TV-land cranks, Stanley Roper (Three's Company/The Ropers), is a guy you run into a lot as a character actor in old movies (Oceans 11 (1960)/The Graduate/Bullitt) as well. Thing is...he reminds me of one of the most prolific character actors ever and that's Henry Jones (The Girl Can't Help It/Support Your Local Sheriff/Support Your Local Gunfighter). It musta been that googly-eyed, rubbery-faced yet deadpan style they each perfected.
